Doug Thatcher

Doug joined Northwest Commercial Mortgage Company in 1989 as an analyst after working in mortgage loan servicing at Peoples Bank Mortgage and at Bellingham National Bank (Key Bank), where Doug was Assistant Controller. Today he originates and underwrites new mortgages in all the companies programs and oversees a $180,000,000 loan servicing portfolio. He received a BA in Economics from University of Washington in 1985 and a MBA in Finance from the University of Notre Dame in 1987.

 

John Wuest

John Wuest is the newest addition to the company. A graduate of Georgetown University, John is a commercial real estate finance professional with 18 years of experience and brings a deep understanding of lending and client financing strategies in all major asset types.  John joined Northwest Commercial Mortgage in Spring of 2019 after working for Bank of America for over 10 years where he was a Senior Vice President and Relationship Manager.  John will continue to provide creative, borrower-focused financing solutions to the commercial real estate industry.

 

Gary W. Beem

Gary founded Northwest Commercial Mortgage Company in 1989 with Dave Pontius after working at George Elkins Company, Peoples Bank Mortgage and Rainier Mortgage (Security Pacific Bank). Gary’s major production responsibilities at each of these institutions included commercial loan placement with correspondent life insurance companies and construction lending through the banks. He received his BA in Economics from The University of Washington in 1974. Gary currently sits on Principal Global Investors Debt Advisory board and has been active on local civic committees. He is also a member of various trade associations in the community.
